Blown Away

I am a medical language specialist. For those of you who have no idea what that is, simply put, I am the person who creates your medical records. I work from home and sit at a computer for 7.5+ hours per day, which can be extremely rough on the body. The first day I used this chair on the job I was kind of let down because my upper back was still killing me. The second day, I realized that I could adjust literally EVERY aspect to this chair and began messing around with the levers, switching up the seat tilt, lumbar support, adjusting the back of the seat's position, etc. It wasn't until yesterday (about a week later) that I had a revelation and realized that the height of the back of the seat can also be adjusted, allowing me to move the lumbar support to exactly where it needed to be for optimal support. Needless to say, my upper back/shoulders are already feeling less tight/sore than they were a couple of days ago. The assembly was easy...I was even able to figure it out on my own before my husband swooped in and took over. This chair is a the jackpot for those of us who spend our entire work day glued to a desk and staring at a computer screen. 100% worth the money - you won't be disappointed.

Very Comfortable & Very High Quality

I have only had this chair for two days so if you do not see an update by August 2013 consider my opinion has not changed.When putting this chair together the first thing I noticed was the superior quality of the foundation mechanics. Ever chair I have bought in the past had the same basic mechanical structure and most were replaced because this structure broke. This chair's foundation is far superior to them and I believe it will outlast other chairs I have owned in this same price range or higher and outlast the rest of the chair.The chair is also the most comfortable of any I have owned in the past, (and I have owned around a dozen more or less). It has three adjustment levers, one for the pneumatic height, one for the seat angle, and one for the back angle. Both the seat and back can be left unlocked to allow the chair to rock and the back to follow your back as you lean forward and back.Besides the ability to adjust the back one feature that makes this chair far superior to others I have owned is the fact that the seat can actually tilt down allowing you to maintain a comfortable position when leaning forward which with my 66 year old eyes I have to do a lot. Another major plus is that you can lock the seat and/or back in any position you want. With other chairs the back was fixed and the seat could only be locked in the level position. Also the legs are long enough to keep the chair stable even when this 210 lb person leans back. My last chair would tip over when I leaned back unless I had the legs positioned right. I cannot count the number of times I had to catch myself with my feet under the desk to prevent tipping over backwards.The arms and back both have height adjustments so you can set them to most any height that suits you best. The padding on this chair is far superior to others I have owned. Only time will tell if it holds up or becomes compressed like all others have. The upholstery is at least as good if not better than any other chair I have owned.The only con I have is I wish the back had a stronger spring action to give more resistance to leaning back when unlocked. A pressure adjustment like the one for the seat would have really been nice. This in no way affected my overall satisfaction with the chair.

Totally worth it.

I work from this chair for 8-12 hours a day, I wanted something that could be totally customizable - this is the perfect chair for that.I gotta be honest, straight out of the box, I was a little scared - how can a chair have so many features with so little parts? After putting the chair together (in 15 minutes flat) I totally get it. The lever parts (which are already put together) are a marvellous piece of construction. I was impressed.PROS:* Cushioning is adequate, not over stuffed or too hard. The leather give a good feel to it.* Adjustment features are the reason to buy this thing. Here's what you can do: - Raise the seat (the whole unit goes with it) up and down - Raise the arm rests up and down - Tilt the back of the chair straight up (at 90 degrees) or recline it. - Tilt the seat (the whole unit goes with it) forward or back - You can adjust 'tilt tension' of the seat - "puff" up the lumbar support, which is a pad that increases and decreases inside the back of the chair* If you like to rock back and forth, you can actually do this. However, rocking 'forward' might be too far forward to make this useful. Just tighten the tension knob under the chair to your selected tension, then on the seat lever, pull it completely up so that it locks. I'm not sure if it's what the manufacturer intended, but it works.* I'm 5'7" and at the lowest height and my butt completely in the back of the seat - my feet are flat on the groundCONS:* I wish the arm rests could be adjusted to push them forwards and backwards.With everything said, there's really no reason you shouldn't purchase this chair, especially the amount of features compared to the price point. Totally recommend it.
