I sat in a chair like this one for years, at the company I used to work for. It was a cubicle job, just sitting 8 hours a day, with a break for lunch and 2 15 minute breaks, not much opportunity to move around at all. Other chairs I tried gave me backaches, and headaches that started at the base of my neck. This chair was all around the BEST ergnomic chair. Once I started sitting in this chair, the backaches and headaches just went away! After a few years, the chair wasn't looking new any more, and the upholstery was looking dull. The company bought new chairs, but they weren't the same style as this one, and the backs were more concave than this one. As soon as I started sitting in the new chair, my back started aching again. I asked my supervisor if I could have the old "ugly" chair back, and they managed to find one that hadn't already been tossed into the garbage bin out back. What a relief!This is not a good-looking chair. It's not an executive or professional-looking chair. I wish all chairs had the kind of backing that this one does. It pushes your spine forward just enough to get it into the right alignment for long periods of sitting, pain-free. If they made this chair in a button-tufted, oxblood-colored vinyl, I would have ordered this one instead of the chair I got. The chair I have now is comfortable, but only provides support for the lower, lumbar area, not for your entire spine. It's comfortable, but I still wax nostalgic for my "ugly chair"!If you own a small business, this chair is a good option for yourself and/or any employees who work in a sitting position for long hours. I give it 4 stars only because it's ugly, not because it isn't ergonomic. In terms of ergonomics, this chair mops the floor with any other task chair you could purchase at this price point (and is better sitting than many of the more expensive chairs I've seen on Amaz on.com). So minus one star for aesthetics, but for comfort and ergonomics I give it 5+++ stars (if that were possible).

I use chairs similar to this at work and have always liked the style. This chair is exactly what I expected it to be, but I didn't realize HOW comfortable it was until I compared it to the chair it replaced. It has very firm padding, but ergonomically it puts you in a very comfortable seating position. At the same time it doesn't form you into one seating position, so you can shift your body around some as well. Assembly time was maybe 30 minutes, and mine does have adjustable arm rests. If you find executive chairs extremely uncomfortable, then give this one a try. I'll take function over looks any day of the week!

Not a bad chair. From the pictures it looked like it had adjustable arms, though it doesn't. I know it doesn't say it anywhere so I'm not blaming the profile. It is pretty comfortable and feels well made, and the adjustments have large ranges. Only other knock on it was the shipping condition. Chair was not packaged well and the box came in really crappy condition. Other than that I am happy with the chair, not the best, but for the price its solid.
