I received the item as a gift two years ago. I work at my desk a lot and my feet were always cold. I used a small electric heater first but it warmed up the rest of me too much. Then I tried using a heating pad, which was better but they didn't last very long and almost all of them were designed to automatically turn off after two hours. I was leery when I received this footrest/heater but OMG it worked wonderful and has worked for two years! I liked it so much that I bought two and gifted them this Christmas. The footrest bottom has little cleats so the unit doesn't slide around. It easily adjusts to the desired position by using your feet to put pressure on the flat top and it really lets off a lot of warming heat.

This warmer has two settings and always heated nicely. However pieces of the top loosened and came off. Eventually I had a large hole in the center of the footrest. With the electrical showing I felt it was danagerous to continue using it. I disposed of the unit and am looking for another, one with solid construction.
